Nannup Flower and Garden Festival 2025

14 August, 2025

The picturesque town of Nannup was in sync with nature on Sunday for the third day of the Nannup Flower & Garden Festival, with sunshine, Wanderer butterflies and vibrant tulips on display.  There was something for everyone with market stalls (including plants, seedlings and seeds), food stalls, celebrity gardeners and chefs, guided garden tours, ‘hands on’ workshops, free talks, exhibitions, art and garden trails and even a roving “Junkadelic” brass band.

Thank you to everyone who came along to our talk and a special thank you to friends who travelled specifically to support us. It’s always lovely to see familiar, friendly faces, especially when trying something new.  To see a tiny snippet of our talk, you can watch the video below.

Miniature Habitat Garden,

Our Miniature Habitat Garden has developed a life of its own and is now staying in Nannup for the rest of the festival. So if you’re heading to Nannup, you’ll find it outside the Town Hall. Take a look and see if you can find all the little creatures in the garden…unless they’ve decided to go exploring…

Bee Watering Station Workshop,

One of the beautiful bee watering stations made at our workshop, using natural and reclaimed materials. New life was breathed into this pretty (slightly chipped) bowl.

Thank you so much to the lovely ladies that joined us for our workshop. We had such fun chatting and creating.

If you’d like to have some fun making a Bee Watering Station whilst learning how to garden in harmony with the local wildlife, we’ve our Gardening with Wildlife workshop coming up in October this year. See here for more details and to join the waitlist.

Re-Imagine Exhibition,

Next to our Miniature Habitat Garden, in the Town Hall, is the amazing exhibit, “Re-imagine” created by artists Nina Hoad-Pipkin, Catherine Meads and Leanne White.  The exhibit promotes the concept of recycle, reuse, repurpose and reimagine and will be open until Sunday 17th August. I unfortunately missed seeing this display due to time restraints, but as Jo was at the festival a few days earlier she kindly shared a few photos (see above).  The feathers on the bird (above right) were made from recycled milk cartons.

The beautiful, vibrant tulips that line the main street of Nannup at this time of year.

Thankyou,

Special thanks to Jo Kennedy from A Single Leaf South West, who’s always a joy to work with and for helping make this collaboration happen.

Thank you also to the festival’s organiser, Emmi Taylor and all the amazing volunteers who work tirelessly to create such a wonderful, earth friendly event each year.

Jo and I have already started planning for next year’s festival and look forward to being a part of this wonderful event again.

If you’re thinking of heading to this year’s festival which runs til Sunday 17 August, you can find the programme and tickets to each remaining event here.

Til next time, best wishes,

Alisa🌷🌷
