Growing a Potted Food Garden Workshop

I warmly invite you to join me in my home garden for a fun, hands-on workshop learning how to grow an organic food garden in pots.

During this workshop you’ll -

  • Learn how to grow a food garden in pots using a no-dig gardening method.

  • Discover how to compost your garden waste in pots.

  • Learn how to make a DIY soil mix.

  • Learn how to grow a diverse food garden in a small space.

  • Learn how to maintain your potted food garden.

  • Discover techniques to make your potted food garden more drought tolerant.

  • Wander through my potted food garden for ideas and inspiration.

  • Pot up your own mini food garden (with your choice of a few herbs and veggies) to take home with you.

This workshop is for you -

  • If you have limited space for growing food or live in a rental.

  • If you live on a larger property but dream of having an 'easy to manage’ potted food garden near your kitchen.

  • If you’re keen to learn how to grow a food garden in pots using a no-dig method and make use of some of your garden waste.

  • If you have challenging soil conditions.

  • If you’re looking for an easier way to garden, in sync with Nature.

By attending this workshop you’ll also receive -

  • A mini potted food garden to take home with you (complete with your choice of a few veggie & herb seedlings).

  • DIY Soil Mix Recipe

You’ll also go in the draw to win 1 x 8ltr plus 1 x 12 ltr grow bag (made from recycled plastic water bottles) from Up on the Rooftop, to help you on your journey, growing a potted food garden at home.

Workshop Details -

Date: Saturday 20 September 2025

Time: 10am to 12pm

Venue: My home garden in Quindalup (further details to be provided, once registered)

Duration: 2 hrs

Bring: Gardening clothes, gloves, hat and pen & paper for taking notes (if preferred).

Cost: $70.00 per person (includes all materials)

Class size is limited for a more personal and engaging experience.
