In-ground worm farms can help plants cope during the summer heat, being an on-site supplier of moisture & slow release nutrients to nearby plants. They are also super easy to move to a different location in the garden or if you have to move house. In-ground worm farms are perfect for raised garden beds.
Your "ready to install" in-ground worm farm is made from a re-purposed, recyclable lidded (10 litre) container with handle for easy transportation. Plastic Code No 5 (UV stable & food grade safe) and contains everything you need to get started, including:-
125 grams Composting Worms (approx 500 adult Red Wigglers and Tigers)**
Bedding
Carbon materials
Natural insulation material
Compost starter (with beneficial microbes and biochar)
A sprinkling of rock dust
To help you on your journey, you’ll also receive:-
Care instructions (includes troubleshooting tips)
Fridge magnet - “Food not to be Placed in the Worm Farm”
All you need to do is find a suitable location, dig a hole and pop into place.
**Notes:
Adult worms are weighed separately before adding to the in-ground worm farm.
Once you place your order, please allow a few days for your in-ground worm farm to be made. You’ll be contacted direct once it's ready to collect or arrange delivery.
